Exact change actually means that you need to put in equal to or more than that amount but that is too long of a phrase to put a sign.

In other words, if you put in $2 in quarters you will be fine.

But other than the times when you just left a casino, when do you have that many quarters handy? 02-02-2021, 07:34 AM Location: NYC 20,550 posts, read 17,691,254 times Reputation: 25616

They need to update every toll booth and remove signs and put new signs on. There is no need to go through a cash lane if you don't have an EZpass. You can simply go through any lanes with or without passes. And you don't have to stop, just drive through normally whatever the speed limit it says.

I'm tired of seeing somebody go through Ezpass and does a full stop when there's no SIGN that says you need to stop. You're gonna get rear ended sooner or later.

I mean just dump in any amount of change as long as it is over $1.90
People get fixated on having exactly $1.90.
It doesn't have to be.

So, I opened a new service request with them to get that address over 10 business days ago, but I have not received a response.

I just don't want them contacting me and charging me for the old tag and the ezpass site doesn't make it clear of the address to return to for a replaced tag, only if you are closing your account.

Thanks in advance.

Check your actual statement, and your account on the website. If there is no definitive answer there -- call them. I called last month and got through. I believe there is also a non-service request email (either on the statement or your account on the site. At least there was at one time). When I had the same thing -- I called. Good luck.

This says that if not paid with In 100days it's a violation and they fee is $50 + tolls

A bill is sent to the registered owner of the vehicle approximately 30-40 days after travel
After the bill arrives, motorists have 30 days to pay a toll bill
If payment isn’t received by the due date, a second toll bill is sent in 30 days with a $5 late fee
If second bill is not paid by the due date, the toll bill escalates to a toll violation
Approximately 100 days after the date of travel, the motorist is mailed a Notice of Toll Violation (in an orange envelope) with a violation fee
Violation fees are $50 per trip
If a notice of violation is not paid within 15 days of the issue date then the notice of violation may be referred to a collection agency
Failure to respond to three or more Notices of Violation within a five year period may result in suspension of a motorist’s vehicle registration by the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles under 15 NYCRR 127.14
